
SUMMARY OF COLLINS GOODRICH DE-ICE MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE:
Regular visual and pressure inspections:

A detailed inspection of the surface of the De-Ice Boots to detect microcracks (pinholes), cuts, peeling edges, or damaged seams.
Preventive surface protection:

Application of approved cosmetic and protective products that prevent rubber aging.
Cleaning and degreasing:
-
Removal of operational dirt, oil, and fuel residues using approved chemical cleaners to prevent material degradation.

REPAIR:
Repairs are classified according to the extent of damage and are performed either on-site or require complete replacement of the part:
1. Permitted repairs (within limits per CMM)
If the damage does not exceed 4" × 9" and does not penetrate the bottom fabric layer, the following is performed:

Pinhole repairs: Sealing of small punctures (4.2 mm).

Patching (Small, Medium, Large): Application of repair patches.

Labor Rate: 45 EUR / hour
2. Irreparable damage (Requiring replacement)

Cuts, tears, or punctures that penetrate through the bottom fabric layer (bondside fabric layer).

Damaged or broken structural seams and threads (broken stitch/thread).
-
Damage to a continuous area exceeding 4" × 9".

Labor Rate: 45 EUR / hour.
